Online journaling was my jam starting in middle school. I hated to handwrite my journal; I’m a southpaw so my handwriting is painful. As an ISFJ and only child, I liked to get my thoughts down on some sort of written method, and putting it out there, online, meant I could “share” without having to “share.” That’s very millennial of me, I suppose.
And when Twitter gained popularity, I hopped on board. I love being able to post a short thought out to the world. I met a group of fellow runners on Twitter, and we became a little running group for our weekly Sunday long runs when I lived just outside of Savannah, GA. The online community is vast and interesting.
Back in my Xanga days, I was not short of opinions. They were spicy, mostly of the religious kind. I had many opinions on how people lived and behaved. Who the fuck was I? I started college at 17. I was a virgin. I never drank alcohol. I was a prude. But I had opinions.
Over a decade later, I still have opinions. But I also have a ton of “lessons learned” to form those opinions. And I’m happy to hear other opinions and be wrong about my own.
So that’s what this is… I’ll share stories about how I got to where I am and our current chaotic life. I’ll share opinions on the present and future hot topics. And maybe in another decade, I’ll dig these posts back up and laugh at them, too.
